The stadium was unique in the world for its elegant architecture. The road passed directly under the main stand, which was covered by a cover. Therefore, the two corners were open, something that is also not very common.
All the seats were decorated in the club's colors of red, white and blue, so the empty stadium looked quite impressive. However, the experience was incomparable when the rojiblancos, known in all respects as the "best fans in Spain", transformed the stadium into a witches' cauldron.
The chants sung by the infamous "Frente Atlético" on the south bank begin even before the start of the match. Even if Atlético loses, the fans continue to create a good atmosphere well into the final whistle.
Visiting an Atlético de Madrid home match, or at best a derby against arch-rival Real Madrid, is a highlight that is not so easily forgotten.
Cerro del Espino, Training Center
Atlético's modern training center is located in Majadahonda, a neighborhood of Madrid. The sports venue has several grass and artificial turf fields, as well as a complex of buildings with changing rooms, a restaurant, a cafeteria and press conference facilities.
The Cerro del Espino stadium, with a capacity for 3,500 spectators and where Atlético de Madrid B plays its home games, was inaugurated in 1995. In Majadahonda you can see both Atlético's first team during training and the B team, the female and lower categories.
