Costa is currently at Gremio in Brazil, where age and injuries have been a problem for him in recent times. The Spanish-Brazilian is helping the Brazilian team's sub-20 team in an attempt to fully recover from his recent ailments and get back into the rhythm of competition. In a recent match with his teammates from the youth team, Costa had a confrontation with one of the "kids" from the rival team in which things did not end well for him.

Costa Gets Red Card after Fighting a Youth Player

The Gremio striker was shown the red card after a scuffle with one of the opposing team's players due to a foul on Costa. The Spanish-Brazilian immediately launched himself at the other player under the gaze of a referee who could only separate them by sending off the former Atlético striker. Walking off to the dressing room tunnel furiously and aware of his mistake, Costa was shown a red card that could have been avoided and which considerably harmed his team, which was already losing.

The play consisted in a triangle formation near the edge of the area in which Costa tried to pass to his teammate and in which the youngster ran over the striker, completely enraged. Costa went straight to recriminate him for the action and at that moment the blows began until they were separated by the refereeing team and his teammates. Although it is not known what the extent of the sanction will be, Costa already has a new red card for his enormous collection of expulsions.
