Bundesliga wants competition from Julián Alvarez and Sorloth: Simeone uneasy

Several German clubs are interested in an Atlético Madrid striker, who could leave the team.

Atlético de Madrid has not yet said its last word in this transfer market, both in buying and selling players. The red-and-whites have had, and continue to do so, a historic summer campaign that has considerably reinforced their squad for this season. At the expense of being able to completely make over the team and incorporate some more players into the squad, selling other players who count little or nothing for Cholo is essential.

Samu Omorodion has been one of the main candidates to leave the club since his return from loan at Alavés. The Olympic medallist was not in any plans to be sold this summer, but the enormous complexity of the operations involving Julián Alvarez and Conor Gallagher turned everything upside down. After having ended badly with Chelsea, it seems that the best bidders to sign Samu Omorodion are currently in Germany.

The Bundesliga overtaken by Samu Omorodion

The young striker is being eyed by Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund, with both clubs having been insistent on signing him for days. The two German giants are reportedly willing to negotiate a significant sum for Omorodion, given that both like his qualities and potential. Without skimping on his original asking price, Atlético de Madrid will not part with Omorodion for less than the million previously offered by Chelsea.

The deal with the Londoners suffered an unexpected last-minute turn of events, as a contractual setback ruined everything. These disagreements caused the famous domino system to collapse, although little by little it seems to be regaining strength with other players involved. Pending the possibility of finding a quick solution to the Omorodion deal, the U-21 international is currently training in Majadahonda.

No room in this team

And after the arrival of important offensive reinforcements such as Julián Alvarez or Alexander Sorloth, the competition for Samu is at a very high level. The young Spanish striker is not completely established in the elite and it seems impossible that Simeone will give him any minutes this season. For reasons like this, as well as the possibility of enjoying an interesting alternative in the German league that allows him to play and demonstrate his worth, Omorodion's departure seems a foregone conclusion.

A temporary non-transferable

As I said before, the sale of Omorodion was not part of the summer plans of an Atlético determined to keep its young pearl. The commercial movements outside the Atlético striker's control stirred everything up and led to real approaches from other clubs that did not materialize in anything. Being this time again close to leaving Atlético, Omorodion takes it philosophically and meditates on what could be the best decision for his promising future.
