The dates of the Champions League

The new edition of the Champions League will end later than usual as regards its first round, the old group stage. There will be eight rounds, starting the week of 17-18-19 September , just after the return of the first international break. In this edition, the difference in level that each team can find between the away and home games is key.

This first round of the Champions League will come to an end in September, with the last matchday being on the 29th of that month. It should be noted that the qualification system will also be different, with 1st to 8th place in the table going directly to the round of 16. On the other hand, 9th to 24th place will play a preliminary round that will take place between 11/12 and 18/19 February next year 2025.

This season, the Champions League final will be held at the Fußball Arena München in Munich, Germany. The last time the title was decided at this stadium was in the 2011-12 season, when Chelsea won it on penalties against Bayern Munich . It will be held on 31 May 2025, closing the season before the start of the new Club World Cup in June.
